Scottie Babies
As a member of Westmark Credit Union, we will make the first initial $10 deposit into your new baby's savings account
(newborn babies only). Just bring in the baby's Social Security Number and date of birth to open the account.
Scottie Savers Club
Westmark's Scottie Savers Club is a savings program designed for children aged 15 and under.
Scottie Savers is a fun and rewarding way to help teach children the virtue of saving. Your child will earn
dividends on their account as well as be awarded prizes for their deposits.
Upon joining the Scottie Savers Club, your child will receive:
- Scottie Savers Passbook
- A Dime and Quarter Saver Book
- Scottie Saver Sticker
With each deposit of $5 or more for children under 12:
- Scottie Savers Sticker
Your child can earn prizes as their savings account grows. When your child's account balance reaches the required mark, the specified prize will be awarded as follows:

Scottie Savers Annual Holiday Drawing
Every December, all Scottie Savers members age 1 to 12 are automatically entered into a drawing for a new bicycle. Scottie Savers members age 13 to 15 are automatically entered into a drawing for an MP3 Player.
Account Restrictions
This account cannot be set-up for automatic transfers, as this is an educational program designed to reward
the child for making the deposit and using their Scottie Savers Passbook. A child can only receive 1 prize per level.
Passbook will be used to track prizes awarded.
Just For Fun
Your children can access Yahoo! Kids from the logo to the right. Yahoo! Kids has games, jokes, and a study zone.
Turning 16?
When you reach the age of 16, you are eligible to open a Westmark *FREE Checking Account. You will receive all the benefits listed in our Checking Account Brochure under the FREE Checking Account. This is an excellent way to learn how to manage your money set aside for spending.
You may also be eligible to start building a good credit rating for your future with a **Secured VISA Credit Card or your parents can co-sign on a regular VISA Credit Card. By establishing good credit now, financing larger purchases, such as a new car, will be easier. The credit limit is $500 or $1,000. Limit is based on the amount of secured funds deposited into a Westmark Term Certificate. See our Credit Card Brochure for further details.
