Westmark Student Accounts
Student accounts are a good way to teach students financial responsibility.
Westmark Student Accounts are for members 17 to 22 year olds. With the Student Account, you will receive the following incentives:
- Westmark will deposit your first $25 into your Primary Savings Account (new memberships only). This is your membership account and the $25 must remain on deposit to retain your membership.
- You can obtain a Collegiate Term Certificates for your college education. Minimum opening balance is $500 and you will receive a one time $10 Gift Certificate to Walmart.
- *You are eligible for all of our benefits outlined under our FREE Checking Account.
- **You can obtain a Secured VISA Credit Card for either a $500 or $1,000 credit limit. This is secured with deposited funds of $500 or $1,000 (depending on credit limit) in a Term Certificate.
- Once credit is established and you are at least 18 years old, you can apply for an unsecured VISA Credit Card.
- You can also access the "Edge" for up-to-date financial information and advice.
Note: *Checking Accounts and **Credit Cards for members under the age of 18, require joint ownership with a parent or legal guardian.. Credit Cards are subject to credit approval.
